ATEX Filters
In accordance with the European directive, ATEX filters are specially designed for use in potentially explosive work environments exposed to the emission of flammable dust or materials that can be a dangerous source of ignition. ATEX accessories are supplied with certification.
Benefits
- Certified according to law: filters designed in accordance with the current European ATEX Directive 94/9/EC.
- Suitable for potentially explosive environments, as they are specially designed to handle flammable dusts and materials.
- Other ATEX-compliant components available: blast panel, explosion suppression system, spark detector, flap valve.

DiscoverFilter systems for work with flammable or explosive materials
In its design, production and installation activities, Coral Engineering does not exclude the many sectors involved in dry processing of materials that can produce an explosion, generating volatile dust, which, remaining suspended in the air, becomes a potential source of ignition. Our range of filter systems includes ATEX (Atmosphere Explosive) certified filters, which comply with the current European directive that defines the necessary requirements for all equipment intended to be installed in potentially explosive environments.
Under this legislation, companies are required to identify risk zones, which are classified according to dust (ATEX zone 20 - zone 21 - zone 22) and gases/vapors (ATEX zone 0 - zone 1 - zone 2). With reference to these classifications, the installation of suitable equipment to abate these pollutants is used. ATEX filters are specially designed to suck in, treat and filter explosive pollutants in order to prevent or reduce risk and damage in the event of an explosion.
