Smoke extraction systems from coal-fired boiler
Industrial suction systems for the food industry
Coral, a company specializing in the design and distribution of state-of-the-art extraction and filtration equipment, for a client company operating in the agricultural and food sector, decided to put all its technical knowledge to use and install three fume extraction systems from three coal-fired boilers, with the aim of significantly reducing smoke and dust emissions and improving air quality in the industrial environment involved.
To ensure proper extraction and filtration, smoke extraction systems with AIRCOM model bag filters with stilling chambers were installed , with a total treated air flow rate of 185,500 m³/h. Among the essential components that ensure maximum efficiency of the system are the filter bags. With a length of 5 meters each, and thanks to the 100% PTFE fabric, they are able to capture solid particles in the air and other fluids, reducing impurities and ensuring a longer service life.
How to manage emissions through air purification
The operation of our system involves the suction of dusty air, which, as it enters the hopper below the filter sleeves, due to the abrupt decrease in speed, causes the particles with larger particle size to settle and descend into the collection container. The air flow is then conveyed to the filter bags to deposit the impurities and let it out completely purified. To ensure maximum efficiency during processes involving fume extraction equipment, a periodic check on filter productivity is carried out using a cyclic counterflow cleaning system. In addition, efficiency is further improved by the AISI 316 media, which provides greater strength.
Finally, the necessary vacuum, which allows the intake system to function at its best, is provided by a high-performance centrifugal electric fan, which ensures proper vacuum by conveying filtered air to the outside through an exhaust pipe.
All vacuum systems distributed by Coral are designed in accordance with the regulations provided for the relevant industry and offer the possibility of emission analysis.

Our smoke extraction systems for Sugal Group
Sugal Group is one of the world's leading producers of tomato concentrates and other fruit and vegetable derivatives. Originating in Portugal, this agribusiness group has expanded its presence internationally, with operations and partnerships in several countries, including those in the European Union, North and South America, and Africa. Founded in the mid-20th century, the Sugal Group has evolved from a family business to a global entity, while maintaining the values of sustainability, quality and innovation. Indeed, it is committed to reducing the environmental impact of its operations through practices such as water recycling, efficient use of resources, and support for local communities.
It is with this in mind that the partnership between the Sugal Group and the Coral team was born : investing in fume extraction systems not only improves air quality in the industrial environment, but also demonstrates a concrete commitment to environmental sustainability.
