Tod's, a company that needs no introduction
A company that is a symbol of craftsmanship excellence, loved and appreciated worldwide for the quality of its products, Tod's is now synonymous with luxury footwear and leather goods.
Founded in 1978 by Diego Della Valle, a descendant of a family of shoemakers, Tod's is headquartered in Sant'Elpidio a Mare, in the Marche region of Italy, which has always been known for its tradition of craftsmanship in footwear production.
The iconic Tod's factory in Comunanza
An important part of Tod's history is linked to the plant in Comunanza, located near the company's headquarters, which has been crucial to Tod's success in the luxury sector.
Here, expert artisans work by hand using traditional techniques to create Tod's iconic shoes, characterized by their impeccable quality and innovative, elegant design, which have captivated the likes of Lady Diana, Anne Hathaway and Gwyneth Paltrow.
In addition to footwear production, the Comunanza plant has expanded its product range to include high-quality leather accessories, always maintaining the attention to detail and quality craftsmanship that are the hallmarks of Tod's brand.
Coral's contribution to Tod's sustainability
Coral was honored to have partially signed Tod's Comunanza plant with a reliable indoor air filtration system to filter out dust and waste from leather and hide, Tod's material of choice for the production of its masterpieces.
The system consists of an Aircompact 16C 1000 filter, equipped with 16 cartridges and capable of handling an air flow rate of 13,000 cubic meters per hour. The Aircompact allows easy disposal of residual dust by means of the special trolley disposal container located at the bottom, in which both coarse and finer dust retained by the cartridges is deposited and subsequently "blown away" by the automatic compressed air cleaning system.
The filter is assisted by a CAR 13000 cyclone separator for pre-clearance of leather scraps.
