Suction of dust generated by a sandblasting booth
- Plant type: sandblasting booth dust extraction
- Air flow rate: 28,000 cu m/h
- Filter type: AIRCOMPACT cartridge filter
- Fan: Centrifugal fan PR 900/4 - 37 kW
How the plant works
Coral designed and built a dust extraction system for a sandblasting booth, an industrial process that always requires the installation of a filtration system to capture important residues.
The design includes the placement of 4 dust extraction connections at the bottom of the blasting cabin and an air intake above the roof. The suction downdrafts are connected to a main manifold that, in turn, conveys polluted air to a cartridge filter model AIRCOMPACT. At the conclusion of the dust extraction process, placed inside a soundproof box to reduce noise levels, a high-efficiency centrifugal fan provides the necessary vacuum to feed the filtered air back into the atmosphere via an exhaust stack. The latter, in addition to being adequately sized for the purpose, is equipped with a special inlet to carry out air sampling and analysis.
