Fiberglass dust extraction system
- Plant type: Fiberglass dust extraction
- Air flow rate: 22,000 cu m/h
- Filter type: Cartridge filter mod. Aircompact
- Fan: 37 kw
How the plant works
Coral designed and built the following extraction system for fiberglass dust from sanding operations on special exhaust systems for marine engines.
To carry out dust extraction during the execution of sanding, Evolution suction arms and suction walls with diaphragm openings are positioned in the vicinity of the pollutant source in the affected work area to ensure maximum capture speed. Subsequently, filtration is provided by a cartridge filter mod. Aircompact. Dusty air enters through the connection on the hopper at the bottom. As a result of the abrupt reduction in speed, the coarser particles fall directly into the special collection container, while the airflow rises until it travels from the outside to the inside of the filter cartridges and deposits the finer dust and then exits purified.
The progressive settling of dust makes it necessary to periodically clean the cartridges. Therefore, Aircompact is complete with an automatic pneumatic cleaning system that intervenes cyclically to preserve and ensure the efficiency of the dust extraction filter for a long time.
