Coral Aspiration And Filtration Plant Carbon Fiber Dust24

Dust extraction system connected to a mold machine tool

  • Plant type: Carbon fiber mold dust extraction
  • Air flow rate: 15,000 cu m/h
  • Filter type: Cartridge filter mod. Aircompact ATEX
  • Fan: PR 500 - 15 kW

How the plant works

Coral designed, built and connected to an FTP machine tool a carbon fiber dust extraction system.

Appropriately sized suction pipes are placed on the external connection to the machine tool's carpentry to ensure direct suction of dust to the production source. In addition, Coral has made suitable openings on the machine tool for reintegrating the sucked air.

The suction downdrafts are connected to a main manifold that conveys the pollutant to an AIRCOMPACT cartridge filter, complete with reinforced ATEX carpentry, continuous dust discharge reel, antistatic filter cartridges, inspection hatches, tank and solenoid valves for automatic cartridge cleaning, sequencer and stilling chamber for pre-abatement of dust at the filter inlet. In addition, to protect the suction system, rupture panels enable explosion-prone parts to be placed in such a condition that, in the event of detonation, they vent their force to a pre-arranged area.

Completing the dust extraction system built, the vacuum generated by a high-efficiency centrifugal electric fan, also complete with ATEX accessories, allows the flow of filtered, clean air to escape through the special exhaust stack.
