How the plant works
Coral designed and built the following extraction system for industrial dust generated during grinding operations.
During processing, two suction benches placed in series, each 4 meters long, enable the suction of industrial dust directly to the source of emission.
The suction benches are connected to a main manifold, which conveys the pollutant to an AIRCOMPACT ATEX cartridge filter. The polluted air is fed from below through the inlet chamber connected to the hopper. The resulting significant decrease in flow velocity results in coarse dust falling into the collection bin. The air, on the other hand, moves up the filter housing and, traveling from outside to inside the filter cartridges, deposits the remaining impurities and comes out totally purified. During the industrial dust extraction process, the filter is kept in perfect efficiency at all times by a cyclically programmed automatic compressed air cleaning system.
The specially selected ATEX version is suitable for the suction of industrial dust at risk of explosion. In fact, the filter is equipped with rupture panels that allow the explosion-prone parts to be placed in such a condition that, the moment a detonation occurs, they will vent their devastating force to a previously organized area.
Finally, the necessary vacuum over the entire industrial dust extraction circuit is provided by a high-performance centrifugal electric fan, which has the additional function of conveying the filtered aeriform to the atmosphere via an exhaust stack.
