Coral Dust Extraction And Filtration Plant Grinding31

Dust extraction system from grinding operations

  • Plant type: Grinding dust filtration
  • Air flow rate: 8,500 cu m/h
  • Filter type: Cartridge filter mod. Aircompact
  • Fan: 7.5 kw

How the dust extraction system works

Coral designed and built the following dust extraction system from automatic grinding operations of industrial springs.

In order to ensure maximum safety during a spark-intensive process such as grinding, the dust extraction system built includes an initial passage of dusty air through a mechanical spark extinguisher. Subsequently, dust extraction and air purification are provided by a cartridge filter mod. Aircompact. The polluted air is fed into the filter, and while the dust of larger particle size precipitates into the collection container due to the sharp decrease in velocity, the finer particles travel up the filter body, inside which the filter cartridges are located. The polluted air then travels through the cartridges from the outside to the inside, so that the dust is deposited externally and the flow comes out totally purified.

The Aircompact filter is equipped with an automatic pneumatic cleaning system that performs periodic cleaning of the cartridges, thus ensuring the highest levels of filter efficiency during the dust extraction process and throughout its operating life.
