When the air, saturated with pollutant (oil and its emulsions, hydrocarbons, glycol solutions, ammonia, etc.) passes through the sneaker, suspended liquid is released through the droplet separator and metal mesh (demister). The droplets, because of their greater inertia, cannot make sudden changes in direction and are brought into contact with the surface of the filter where, by coalescent effect, they are retained.
