Dust filtration and deodorization in the food industry

How the plant works

For a food industry, Coral designed and built a custom-made plant with the dual function of providing dust extraction and odor abatement from food flavor manufacturing and processing processes.

The deodorization system was designed as follows and put in place in the weighing area. A front suction hood is placed next to the pollutant emission zone, constructed of strong galvanized steel sheet, internally strengthened and appropriately sized. Here, a bypass damper ensures proper suction according to the height of the spindle placed in the weighing zone.

For theextraction of dust from the mixers, however, suction arms are placed above the processing area. Filtration is achieved through the installation of a cartridge filter model AIRCOMPACT. This is equipped with a stilling chamber for dust decantation and a countercurrent cleaning system to ensure its effectiveness for a long time. Lastly, the necessary vacuum is obtained by means of a centrifugal electric fan positioned outside the shed, which, in addition to ensuring the suction of dust, conveys the filtered aeriform into the atmosphere via an exhaust stack.
